We cover how to fire your oven, temp control and much more. Learn how to make the best freshest pizza you have ever tasted. Peter will take you through from beginning to end.
Note: We recommend not eating too much prior to the class, as you'll have an opportunity to eaT your master creation piping hot from the oven. DESSERT PIZZA INCLUDED!!

Learn about the different cuts of meat, and which is best suited for what recipes. We look at marinades and flavourings, cooking methods, timing and temperature control. Plus of course, the opportunity throughout the evening to sample the food prepared and cooked straight from the oven. ABOUT HILLS BAKING
The Hills Baking School is the brainchild of Gabriella Lincoln, an Italian-born microbiologist and biomedical scientist.
Gabriella has spent much of her life expressing her passion for great food, baking and cooking from an early age with her grandmother (a renowned sourdough baker in Italy) and her passion for science through her research on the beneficial effects of probiotics and vaccines whilst in London and Cambridge.
These two passions converged on a personal quest to rediscover the age-old art and craft of sourdough bread making and the original pastry classics.
When she moved to Australia, she identified a shortage of real artisan-style baked goods and as she offered samples of her own baking to acquaintances, she was overwhelmed by the requests to supply more of her specialities.
In South Australia she found the wealth of exceptional ingredients, local produce and world-class wines to be just the right mix to complement the perfect slice of sourdough. The idea of Hills Baking and the baking school were born.
She is committed in developing a community of fellow artisan home-bakers around Adelaide, with whom to share her passion and knowledge about all things dough and especially when naturally leavened.
Her baking "gurus” are Jeffrey Hamelman (King Arthur Bakery, Vermont, USA), Chad Robertson (Tartine Bakery, California, USA), Anis Bouabsa (Boulangerie au Duc de La Chapelle, Paris, France) and the Simili Sisters (Bologna, Italy).

No refunds available should you not be able to make your booked session (unless someone on our wait list is available to take your place). Class bookings are transferable to family or friends.
A full refund is available should a class be cancelled for unforseen reasons.
If there are no classes available or none that work for you, please join the wait list. You will be immediately notified when new seats become available.
